Constantly finding new ways to improve productivity is a key leadership challenge for industrial companies. A critical enabler for achieving this is to find the target operating model that best suits the needs of each individual company. The targeted operating model must support the implementation of the company's strategy. At the same time, the transformation must be feasible to implement considering the current situation and capabilities for change of the company.
"The ability to support industrial companies in their operating model transformations is a key part of Midagon's service offering. We have chosen this as one of our strategic development areas, and we are continuously strengthening our ability to support our customers in large-scale operating model transformations", says Midagon's CEO Ilkka Töyrylä.
“This means that we need to ensure a balanced approach between the three cornerstones of the transformations: business, data, and technology. To strengthen our competencies particularly from the business perspective - operating model, processes, and architecture - we are very pleased to have strengthened our team with Mika Läärä. Mika brings with him extensive experience of leading and contributing to several large-scale operating model transformations in global corporations", says Teemu Metsola, Midagon’s Business Area Director responsible for Process and Manufacturing Industries.
Mika joined Midagon from KONE at the end of 2023, and prior to that, he held several different positions at Nokia.
“Before joining Midagon, I worked for several years as an Operating Model Architect for KONE Way, looking after the overall architecture and consistency of KONE’s global operating model. Before KONE, I worked for 18 years at Nokia in various positions ranging from supply chain development, sales & operations planning and roadmapping to product management and business unit management. I am very happy to be part of Midagon's team and really look forward to helping our clients with their operating model transformation needs", Mika says.
While most of Midagon's clients are internationally operating companies, we have recognised the need to support the discussion on operating model transformations among Finnish companies using the Finnish language. Therefore, we invite you to read further in our industrial operating model white paper in Finnish:
