Our employees are the most important thing to us. We work continuously with well-being, commitment and development so that everyone in our organization can enjoy themselves as well as possible in the workplace! That is why we are incredibly proud that this year was named Sweden's 12th Best Workplace in the category "Medium-sized Organizations" by Great Place To Work® (GPTW).
Above all, we are happy to share the award with our fantastic employees. The workplace and culture we have are thanks to every single individual and the energy each employee contributes!
GPTW is one of the world's most used and respected measurement tools for employee well-being. Their annual employee surveys provide organizations with valuable insights into how their employees feel, what they are satisfied with and where there is potential for improvement.
A certification from GPTW is based on stringent requirements compared to data from more than 100 million employees in over 150 countries. Midagon Sweden has been Great Place To Work® certified since 2017 and have made extensive use of the surveys since then to create as well-functioning, motivating and inspiring a workplace as possible.
The surveys include specific areas such as trust in leadership, well-being in the workplace and whether employees feel they can be themselves among colleagues. Hanna Fredriksson, HR & Communications Manager at Midagon Sweden, believes that having access to several years of data is invaluable in being able to see how employee satisfaction changes. Since the start in 2017, we have followed both ups and downs, and now managed to achieve better results than ever before.
"We want to be an employer where the employees see themselves developing in the long term and that they feel comfortable when they come to work. The goal is that they want to work for us for a long time and that they want to be involved in developing both themselves and the company," says Hanna.
The employee surveys are a good complement to being able to find out what the employees think and think. When the results from GPTW's surveys are received, it has been broken down into the respective teams, where management and employees then together set a plan for what needs to be improved. During the pandemic, for example, it was the work on community that had the highest focus. Digital after-works, quizzes and activities were introduced to get in touch and see each other.
However, the work does not end with an annual survey, but it is a daily commitment that is required to really make use of the employees' insights. Continuous conversations, monthly meetings and frequent dialogues with all teams make it possible to catch issues when they are relevant.
Finally making the Top 25 list created a lot of joy for everyone who worked hard on the employee surveys. The award was presented at a gala held by Great Place To Work®, but there will also be a big celebration with the entire company and all employees.
“We are very happy! It gives proof that we are doing and focusing on the right things. It doesn't say everything, but it does say something. Of course, we want to continue to develop as an employer but at the same time maintain the nice community we have," says Hanna Fredriksson, HR & Communications Manager.
The award is dedicated to the entire business together. It is all employees who are involved in creating this fantastic workplace. Many thanks to all our employees, we did this together!
