At the end of last year, we initiated community work in several areas. It has been a great pleasure to work in the Supply Chain area with several colleagues over the past few months.
We have arranged SC community meetings monthly around ongoing relevant topics for client cases. I can highlight the following examples from our monthly meeting presentations: Warehouse management system deployments with a multinational client, Procurement organisation change planning, and Source to Pay (S2P) tool selection and deployment in the chemical industry.
It has been good to see how our community members have been able to support each other with their different client cases, as there are often similar tools, processes or methodologies involved. By sharing best practices within our community, we help ourselves and at the same time help our clients to meet their targets.
All consultants at Midagon are highly experienced and our SC community members also have over 20 years of work experience in various companies. This gives us an excellent perspective and base to engage in high quality work for our clients. However, to maintain our high skill levels, we have also arranged for different solution providers to present their technologies and client cases. In each session, it has been interesting to learn about cutting edge technology solutions with some of the world’s largest companies, even if our colleagues at Midagon have not directly participated in those cases. This has enabled us to expand our horizon beyond Midagon’s projects.
We have also focused on participating in various types of training sessions in the supply chain area. We have selected different courses and seminars among our community members to maximize our attendance and coverage. After the training sessions and seminars, we share the lessons and best practices with our SC community members. This allows us to also bring future best practices and tools to Midagon’s clients.
One of our core company values is quality of life. We always remember to have fun with our team, respect each other and maintain a good work-life balance. We are fully focused on our client cases but make sure to take some time off in between. In order to promote this balance, we plan some team building events related to our shared hobbies, such as sailing, during the summer season. As our team is continuously growing, we first strive to introduce new colleagues to community members and then deep dive into current supply chain hot topics. I believe it will be really special for everyone to finally meet colleagues face to face after the Covid-19 restrictions are finished. I’m also sure that our team integration and exchange of ideas will result in increased value for our clients.
Follow Midagon’s channels to see what we will do together, and don’t hesitate to get in touch if you would like to know more or chat about how you can further develop supply chain management in your organisation.
