Operating model re-design, harmonization and centralization
The client's finance operations were decentralized to country and manufacturing organizations. This resulted in differences in the ways of working, inefficiencies and complicated development of finance operations. As a result, the client decided to renew its finance operating model. The target was to re-design, harmonize and centralize the operating model where feasible, and to apply processes and technologies according to the latest best practices.
Midagon helped the client to manage the model definition work, which was done by different process, organisational, technology and data work streams. Midagon also acted as subject matter expert, helping to create the selected operating model elements together with the client's team.
The finance operating model was defined in time, allowing transformation to continue. The model included organisation, roles, processes, governance, metrics, data and ICT. The model also defined the division of responsibilities between the client and its outsourced service providers. To allow its execution, the required transformation projects were also identified.
